  1. Provide 1 litre Milk
  2. Provide 8 tbsp Sugar
  3. Provide 4 tbsp Vanilla custard powder
  4. Provide 200 ml Cream
  5. You need 1 Plain tea cake
  6. Take Fruit cocktail tin 1 large
  7. Prepare Mangoes 2 cubed
  8. Use 1 packet Mango jelly
  9. You need Mango slices for decor
Steps to make Classic Trifle:
  1. In a cooking pot add milk, sugar and custard powder and put on stove and cook it by continously stirring so no lumps are formed and a smooth custard is formed. Cool it completely.
  2. In a serving dish first give layer of cake slices.
  3. Moisten them with a little syrup of fruit cocktail and then add all the fruits from tin.
  4. Pour some custard over it and then drizzle some cream.
  5. Now add mango jelly cubes. Next again add cake slices, syrup and now give layer of mango cubes.
  6. Finally add in custard and cream and decor with mango slices as shown with cherry for decor.
