  1. Prepare Soya beans
  2. Use Tsamiya water or lemon juice

Steps to make Awara (fried tofu):
  1. Wash the soya beans and take it for grinding. Pass it through a moslin cloth used in sieving pap. Place the sieve soya liquid in a very big pot and place it on the fire. Bring it to boil but it has the tendency of boiling over so you need to keep an eye on it.
  2. Once it starts to boil, pour the lemon juice or tsamiya (tamarind) water. This will make the milk curdle. Scoop the curdled milk into a cheese cloth. If it's left for too long, most of the liquid will come out and it will have a dry texture.
  3. Remove it from the cloth and cut it up into desirable shapes and size. Fry it on medium heat. You can also get a bowl with seasoning cube and soak each one in the seasoned water before frying.
