The ingredients needed to make Crock Pot Beef Chili:
- You need 1 spray olive oil
- You need 1 lb lean ground beef
- Get 1 onion diced
- Use 1 red pepper diced
- Take 1 yellow pepper diced
- Prepare 2 serrano or jalapeno peppers finely chopped
- Prepare 1 tin chopped tomatoes with basil
- Get 1 tin red kidney beans
- Prepare 2 clove garlic crushed
- Get 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- Take 1 cup water
- Get 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Use 1 chilli powder to taste
- You need 1 salt and pepper to taste
- Use 4 tbsp sour cream for serving
Instructions to make Crock Pot Beef Chili:
- Heat a skillet over a medium temperature, spray lightly with olive oil. In small batches brown the ground beef. Drain the excess fat with each batch.
- Place the ground beef into the crock pot.
- Empty the tin of kidney beans into a sieve and rinse well before adding to the beef.
- Add all the other ingredients apart from the sour cream. I use approx. 3 tbsp. of chili powder which I would say is a medium heat. Stir well.
- Leave to cook on a low heat for 6 hours or a medium heat for 4 hours.
- Serve with rice and 1tbsp of sour cream.
