The ingredients needed to make Cabbage Stir Fry:
  1. Prepare 1 medium Cabbage
  2. Use 3 tbsp Coconut
  3. Use 1 tbsp Onion or 2-3 shallots
  4. Use 1/4 tsp cumin
  5. Provide 1 tsp mustard seeds
  6. You need 1 tsp Urad dal
  7. Prepare 1 tsp Bengal Gram
  8. Provide Few curry leaves
  9. Get as required Coconut Oil
Steps to make Cabbage Stir Fry:
  1. Shred the cabbage finely, wash, clean, drain and keep aside.
  2. Grind coconut, cumin, dry red chilli and onion to a coarse powder without adding water.
  3. Heat a pan with oil. Splutter Mustard, Bengal gram, Urad dal and curry leaves. Add cabbage, salt, a pinch of turmeric and mix well. Close with a lid and cook on a low flame for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle water lightly if it sticks to the pan.
  4. Now add the ground paste and stir fry for 3-4 minutes. Switch off the flame and serve hot with steamed rice and curry.
  5. NOTES: You can add green chilli instead of dry red chilli for grinding. - - The same recipe can be used for different vegetables like Spinach, Beetroot, Carrot, Cauliflower, Beans etc. Only the cooking time of veggies may vary.
