The ingredients needed to cook Hainanese Chicken Rice:
- You need 2 pcs whole chicken - cut into 4 pcs for each chicken
- Use 1/2 pc lemon
- Get 8 cloves garlic - crushed
- You need Ginger - sliced
- Take Salt
- You need Pepper
- Take Sugar
- Get 1500 ml water for chicken stock
- Take 10 pcs small dried Shiitake mushroom (optional)
- Provide Tofu skin (optional)
- Use 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Prepare 3 tbsp sesame oil
- Provide 3 cup jasmine rice
- Take 650 ml chicken stock
- Prepare 3 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
- Use 1 pc cucumber
Instructions to make Hainanese Chicken Rice:
- Put the dried Shiitake mushroom in water - leave overnight
- Wash the chicken and sprinkle with lemon juice
- Sauteed the garlic with a little bit of oil, add ginger, some salt and pepper

- Add 1500ml boiled water to the pot, some salt and pepper to taste
