The ingredients needed to prepare Apple Crumble:
- Get Streusel
- Use 220 g plain flour
- You need 80 g almond flour
- Get 105 g castor sugar
- Use 150 g unsalted butter, cold
- Take 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- You need Filling
- You need 10 g walnuts, chopped
- Get 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Use 30 g maple syrup
- Provide 15 g Castor sugar
- Get 3 large green apples
- You need 3 tsp cinnamon powder
- Get 2 slices butter

- You need 1 large apple : 10g maple syrup : 5g castor sugar
Instructions to make Apple Crumble:
- Sift plain flour, cinnamon powder and almond flour in a bowl. Mix in the sugar until evenly distributed.
- Add in cubes of cold butter. Crush the butter and rub the dry ingredients with your hands. Stop once it forms small grains of flour, butter and sugar. Place the streusel in the fridge.
- Preheat the oven 180c. Generously butter the 16cm x 16cm pan.
- Peel and cut the apples 1-cm thick. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add all the apple filling ingredients. Boil it down until most of the excess moisture is vaporized. Remove the apple filling from the stove and let it cool.
- Pour half the streusel in the pan and lightly press. Add in the apple filing. Sprinkle the walnut on top of filling. Cover the top with the rest of the streusel.
- Bake at 180c for 40mins.
