The ingredients needed to prepare Apple Crumble:
  1. You need Main Ingredients
  2. You need 1/2 kg Apples
  3. Provide 80 grams Sugar
  4. Prepare 2 tsp Cinammon
  5. You need 1 pinch salt
  6. You need 75 grams Butter (cold)
  7. Provide 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
  8. You need 50 grams Plain Flour (or 25g Oats and 25g Flour)
Instructions to make Apple Crumble:
  1. Peel apples and cut into medium size chunks.
  2. Place the apples, half of the sugar, the lemon juice, and a tablesoon of water into a small pan covered with a lid then leave to simmer on a low heat for 5/10 minutes until the apples become soft and brownish.
  3. Whilst the apples are cooking, place the remaining ingredients in a bowl cutting the butter into small cubes.
  4. Rub the butter and other ingredients with fingertips until the mix turns into crumbly balls, you can add more flour or butter depending on preference.
  5. Pour the apple mix into a small oven dish, and spread the crumble mix evenly over it.
  6. Place in oven at about 200°c and bake for roughly 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve with custard or ice cream and enjoy!
