The ingredients needed to make Fondant:
- Prepare 1 1/2 tablespoon galatin
- Take 60 ml cold water
- Get 1 teaspoon glycerine
- You need Glucose syrup
- Use 1 teaspoon flavour
- Take 500 g icing sugar
- Prepare 2 teaspoon shortening
- Use Food colour (preferably gel)
- Take 1 teaspoon CMC
Steps to make Fondant:
- Pour cold water in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle gelatin in the water,let it bloom for 5 minutes
- Place the bowl over simmering water stir the mixture until clear.
- Pour in glucose syrup & glycerin and stir
- Add shortening, flavour & colour
- In a large bowl, sieve icing sugar and CMC.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the icing sugar mix with a wooden spoon then knead till it is not sticky and it's pliable.
- Cover with shortening and wrap with a cling wrap and stor in an airtight container.
