The ingredients needed to cook Fondant:
  1. Use 16 oz Small marshmallows
  2. Use 5 tbsp Water
  3. Get 2 lb Powdered sugar
  4. Use 1/2 cup Crisco shortening
Instructions to make Fondant:
  1. Microwave marshmallows in a large bowl in 8-10 sec increments until melted
  2. Add the 2lbs powdered sugar SIFTED… Save a cup of sugar for rolling and kneading
  3. Add shortening (rub some on your hands to prevent marshmallows from sticking to your fingers)
  4. Add water little at a time until doughy.(may use between 3-5 tablespoons of water)
  5. —tip— if adding color, add before mixing sugar…(for a true red, use a full 1 oz. bottle of McCormick liquid red food color)
