- You need 8 Tomatoes
- Get 1 beetroot
- Prepare 2 carrot
- Take 1 small green chilli
- Use 1" ginger chopped
- Prepare 1 tbsp mixture of cornflour with water
- You need as needed Butter
- You need to taste salt
- Get as required Cream
- Get to taste Black pepper powder
- You need Jaggery small piece(optional) for sweet and tangy taste
Steps to make Tomato soup:
- Take tomatoes, beetroot, carrot, ginger, green chillies in a cooker. Add 5 cups of water. Pressure cooker it for 4 whistles.
- Remove from flame. Let the cooker opens itself. Mash the boiled tomatoes with blender. Strain the mixture in a bowl.
- Heat another pan. Add butter. Now add strained mixture. Add salt and black pepper powder as per your taste.
- Add cornflour mixture. stir well and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes till the tomato soup thickens on a low flame.
- Now add jaggery and stir. then add the cream and simmer for a minute. - pour the steaming hot tomato soup in soup bowls. Add croutons.
