The ingredients needed to make Pork Chops with Apple and Stuffing:
  1. Get 6 boneless pork loin chops, 1 inch thick
  2. Prepare 1 tsp olive, vegetable or canola oil
  3. Use 21 oz can apple pie filling with cinnamon
  4. Take 6 oz package stuffing mix, prepared. (I like pepperidge farm or stove top pork flavored )
Steps to make Pork Chops with Apple and Stuffing:
  1. Pre heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Over medium high heat, add oil and cook pork chops until seared and brown.
  3. Do this in batches so not to crowd pan. They brown better when not crowded. You want to brown and sear not steam :)
  4. In a 9x13 baking dish, spoon stuffing in baking dish. Place pork chops over stuffing.
  5. Spoon apples over pork chops. Cover tightly with lid or foil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer. Make sure it reaches 160 on meat thermometer.
  7. Serve with any sides you like. You can also layer the apple filling in dish first, then pork then stuffing. I like stuffing on bottom to absorb the pork and apple flavors and it doesn't seem to dry out when uncovered. But its your preference.
